(Golden Mile Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia)
This wine is loaded with honeyed lemon, herbal and floral notes, and it spent a wee bit of time in French oak, which gives it a hint of spice. Less than 200 cases are made but some makes it into Alberta and it’s worth seeking out. It may upstage the Thanksgiving turkey. In case turkey isn’t on the menu, the winemaking team recommends it with mussels in a saffron cream. About $25.
