(Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada)
There’s something about a Sauvignon Blanc that just tastes like spring — that zingy acidity, the bright grassy gooseberry and lime flavours and aromas.
If you’re a fan of the wine style, this fine example from Township 7 will make your day. It has those herbal and lime characteristics, but the barrel ferments help mellow any rough edges, giving it a kiss of honey. A touch of Semillon (12 per cent) add lush tropical fruit notes: pineapple, mango. About $18.
