Pop musician/actor Nick Jonas (yes, from the Jonas Brothers) internationally renowned designer John Varvatos and Stoli Group have joined forces to launch their Villa One Tequila brand in Canada.
The label features a Silver, Reposado and Anejo; pricing and availability varies by province.
The idea for the tequila started during a trip to Mexico (big surprise) in 2018, when Varvatos and Jonas became inspired by the property they were staying in and decided to turn that inspiration into a business venture. The friends collaborated with Master Distiller Arturo Fuentes (the “godfather of tequila”) to bring their idea to life. Villa One was born.
Each of the Villa One tequilas is made from agave sourced from Jalisco’s highland and lowland regions, something that gives Villa One “herbaceous, early lowland notes” combined with ‘sweeter, fruitier highland notes,” according to the news release. Prices start at about $70 for the Villa One Silver in Canada.
