Weingut Heinrich 2018 Naked Red

(Burgenland, Austria)
It’s well known that in Austria, the hills are alive. And maybe it is the sound of music that works some kind of magic for this biodynamic red from Weingut Heinrich. Its Zweigelt, St Laurent and Blaufränkisch grapes undergo wild fermentation before aging 12 months in old wood. The result is a medium-full bodied red with a pleasing red licorice flavour, light cinnamon notes on the tongue and a hint of sparkle in the finish. Enjoy it with something wild—bison whiskey sausage worked perfectly for us. About $20/bottle.
